Andelia is an innovative French company that manufactures touch screens for public use. Their CEO and founder Patrice Casse talks about his experience with Polantis and how architects specify his products.
« Polantis helped Andelia create a CAD and BIM objects catalog compatible with all of the software used by our clients and specifiers. »
It is important to understand that AEC specifying is a « broken chain » in the sense that it is quite hard to track down the ROI from the moment your BIM object is being downloaded to the moment it’s integration into a project translates to revenues. Architects and other AEC professionals will never tell you when exactly they integrate your product into their design. We did have some very pleasant surprises after we started using Polantis for the making and distribution of Andelia’s CAD and BIM objects catalog. For exemple, an architect had downloaded one of our objects from polantis.com for a competition that he won later. He then contacted us to get extra info and specifications in order to complete his project.
Polantis proposes very esthetic and pertinent means to showcase your products. The different file formats that they create for every product allows us to target a very large panel of specifiers with no particular effort. We know that our objects could be integrated into any CAD or BIM software and become part of any ongoing project. Thanks to Polantis’s work we’ve managed to widen and improve our market reach. Our products are well presented – they are rendered with life-like materials and colors and they are of excellent quality (we verified ourselves…) This is why we keep on working with Polantis for the creation of our future product lines in form of CAD and BIM object libraries.
We even use the 3D renderings done by the architects from Polantis to illustrate our brochures and paper catalogs. This goes to show that we have excellent professional relations with their personnel. They always showed great patience and understanding of our needs.
